Chased by Pirates off Venezuela
I remember it vividly, the sun setting over the Venezuelan coast, casting a golden hue over the waters. It was there, in that picturesque setting, that I found myself in a situation I’d only heard about in stories. I was aware of the pirate activity in the area, having heard tales of previous attacks. With this in mind, I made the tough decision to go dark, turning off my boat’s Automatic Identification System (AIS) in a bid to become invisible to any lurking threat.
